The following is a goblin recipe. In that, I mean I love this food. I make it all the time. Do I know the amounts used or time needed for each stage? No. Of course not. I am making this while being distracted by 20 other things. Still, it is easy and tasty so I am sharing my Easy Onion Tarts.

Ingredients
1 tube of Crescent Rolls
White cheddar or other strong cheese of preference – smoked gouda is also nice
1 large sweet vidalia onion
Butter to caramelize the onion in
Yes…the ingredients are vague. The recipe will be too.

What you need to understand is I LOVE caramelized onion. This pan of caramelized onion…I could just eat it. Slap it on a piece of sourdough bread and enjoy! But apparently that might be a lil too gobliny of a recipe for folks so here is the tart version.

The onions go on top of the cheese. This does mean that the cheese isn’t particularly visible and tends to melt into and become part of the pastry. If that bothers you, add more cheese on top. Brilliant problem solving. I should have done that here. Always down for an excuse for more cheese.

Bake at 350 until the pastry is risen and turned golden brown at least in part (the bottom). Voila! Easy Onion Tarts! Enjoy while hot.

Would be excellent alongside…more cheese. Cheesy soup especially. Or apples if you want something less cheesy and more demur but then this wouldn’t be a gobliny recipe.
